Winter wildlife tour
Very quiet for tours now but great for seeing things when the weather allows. Today saw a window in the weather and we had a great day out. Early sight of two young red deer stags looking down on us from a small hill. We went on an eagle watch, they were out and about flying. They are probably hungry following our two storms. We saw both golden and white tailed eagles. It was definitely and otter day, The first of 5 was running across the islands on loch na Keal. our second further on and close into shore. Number three was busy feeding just off the shore and came on to eat a fish. Four and five, a real treat as it was a mum and cub. It was particularly good to see the cub looking healthy especially after the storms. Lots of red deer in the hills and another brief golden eagle flying high. The day ended as the light faded and our guests returned to the ferry for Oban.
