We started the day with a white tailed eagle in a tree, loads of geese and young both greylag and canada. Buzzards flying and terns. Common seals and common gulls. Golden eagle on the nest and two flying over a distant hill. Meadow pipits flying high and parachuting down. Weatear all over. A common seal close to shore. there are lots of baby seals around at the moment. Two white tailed eagles flying across in front of us was lovely. Otter while having our lunch. We kept very quiet and eventually it came very close and rolled around in front of us, scratching and sitting up. really lovely to watch. Into the mountains,a brief hen harrier on the way and red deer in the hills. one big stag silhouetted on the top of the mountain. A gorgeous short eared owl flew very close. they really are a lovely bird. Heading back we stopped for a cuppa and cake. two female hen harrier and a distant eagle, then another. Golden eagles. One came over us giving us the chance to see its lovely bow shape. Our last stop and common seals with pups. another hen harrier on the way back. What a great day.
