Tuesday 18th July

A northern run today with a Dervaig pickup. Warm and sunny. A good start with red deer in the hills and gorgeous scenery. Our young guest had her spotters challenge and started to tick off the wildlife as we went. Highlights were the two otters, they were swimming away but we did get a good view. It was a good day for eagles, the white tailed were very high enjoying the thermals. the golden were also high over the opposite hills. It was a day of waders, common seals and deer. On our way back a white tailed eagle flew over our heads. It was being chased off by the golden eagle . great to compare the two. A good birthday for me.
