The end of June, Already !

Still lots going on here with the wildlife, Baby birds galore with lots of siskins on our feeders.

This is the time of year when we look at the birds and have to work out which baby they are. At least wheatear have a lovely white rump that gives them away. Mike saw a juvenile golden eagle fly, well crash really. It suddenly took off from the nest and tried to get back, it hit the rock face and slid gently down. all well back in the nest and being fed again.

First young otters around that i have seen this year, we saw4 different otters when out on tour Thursday.

Red deer stags looking resplendent with new antlers and lots of calves with proud mums.

The weather is very changeable at the moment, hot and sunny one day then cool and damp the next, all makes for a beautiful green and flower filled Island.
