January was a wet and windy month but it is winter so I’m not complaining, Mull is quiet with only a few visitors ideal for watching wildlife.

A walk along Loch na Keal one afternoon under the watchful eye of this young golden eagle and we came across this pair of feeding otters.

Loch Scridain otter eating a lumpsucker and a lovely ringed plover sheltering from the wind.

A regular visitor to Dungallen a barn owl and mother and cub otter on loch na keal.

White tailed eagle and more otters on loch na keal.

Moody skies with Ben More in the distance and a yellowhammer in the garden at Dungallen winter is a  good time for wildlife on Mull.
