A Ross of Mull trip

I had a lovely day out with friends today. very spoilt as I had my delicious lunch made for me and driven to the south of Mull. We headed  off stopping a couple of times but we were keen to beat the tide. We were looking for waders feeding on the shore. Not as much as we had hoped for but we did see tufted duck and rooks on the way. an unusual sight for Mull and only normally seen in the south. Common scoters were a real treat and the otters fishing, Quite funny as Pam said we havent seen an otter yet and one appeared on a rock. Hen harrier, very close golden and white tailed eagles, red deer and meadow pipits. at least 8. unusual for winter. Barnacle geese, lapwing and ringed plover added to our count for the day. I really enjoyed my day. Its a treat to get down to the South of Mull. The beaches are beautiful with  a rugged landscape between.
