Wet wet wet

Why is the forecast always correct when it giving rain.? Undeterred we started with our usual white tailed eagle nest. It was pouring and hard to see. The common seals didn’t mind though lolling around on the rocks. Common terns everywhere around us. really nice to see them back for the summer. We enjoyed our morning despite the rain, lots to see. Lapwing, snipe, The otters were distant but lovely to see mum and cub. they headed off away from us. we finished lunch and went round the other side of the bay. The rain stopped for a while and a male hen harrier flew close by. Great views of a dog otter fishing in the river. we watched for some time as he came on shore to eat. finally leaving him to his food we headed for the hills. Lots of red deer, golden eagles and white tailed eagles. Our next to last stop and short eared owls being harassed by buzzards. annoying for them but a treat for us to see them. We made our last stop a return to the white tailed eagles net. the rain closed in again so we headed for home. A good day, Jacqui
