Wednesday 6th June

Another dry day and a good tour today with lots of highlights. Lots of little birds around such as skylark, swallows everywhere and sand martins, some house martins as well. Stone chat, goldfinch then the common sandpiper and little wren singing up high on a branch. We did manage to see an otter a little distant though. A good place to have our lunch. Golden eagles flying over the hill and one settled on the ground, good to see. later on we watched a white tailed eagle way up in the sky settle on a rocky outcrop. if we hadnt seen it land we wouldnt have known it was there. Red deer in the hills and wheatear everywhere. cuckoos calling. As always the day went very quickly with lots to see. Jacqui
