Tuesday 26th March
What a great tour, today starting with White tailed sea eagles at the first couple of stops. The Eagles are on and around the nests now as well as juveniles hanging around! They are all alone as their parents are now busy with this years nesting.
We had a very good eagle.one one of the highlights today was watching a golden Eagle plucking a bird, looked like a gull of some sort. White feathers flying across the hillside. We watched as the eagle then took its food higher and proceeded to eat. Then it took some of the kill to its mate in the nest.
Other highlights of the day were 3 male hen harrier, 4 otters, one fast asleep on the seaweed, the three, a single one and mum and cub. My first wheatear of the spring. Stone chat, seals and red deer. very enjoyable day
