Tuesday 14th May
Our usual White tailed eagle nest was a good stop today as both adults were on the tree. they flew to give us a fantastic view of those great wings. We saw the chicks being fed. Getting harder as the leaves are out.
Great view of a cuckoo being chased off by the meadow pipits. Then we were treated to a food pass between the male and female hen harrier. They then came up again and the male was mobbing a buzzard. hope allis well thenext time we are there.
Cuppa time and another hen harrier female, and a golden eagle briefly over the hill.
An adult Golden eagle in edge of nest and more red deer in the hills. A very good morning.
Our day continued. very warm in the afternoon. kestrel , stone chat, peregrine, common and Atlantic grey seals.
Last stop of the day and and a wonderful view of a golden eagle being mobbed by a Raven. We watched for some time as it flew across and landed on the hillside. gorgeous in the sun.
