Thursday 7th July

So this is summer, very wet and cold today. no midges though. It was a slow start to the day for wildlife, the rain came down and the sea was quite rough. Still the skylarks sing. What a plucky little bird, flying high singing its heart out in crazy weather. The ducks are going through their moult now breeding time is over. The eiders are looking very scruffy at the moment. The afternoon improved and we saw common seals, golden eagle, white tailed eagle and hen harrier. the wildflowers are fantastic at the moment. lots of orchids and the grasses are beautiful. Our day ended with two white tailed eagles in a tree. Jacqui P1080669
