Saturday 25th June

I have had some catch up days at home, baking, soup making etc etc and taking mum out to look for otters. Oh and the dentist. Out with friends last night to the Hebridean lodge at Tobermory. Wonderful food and great company. Topped off with a spectacular sunset at 10.30pm Then a rare day off with Mike today. Our self catering guests are in for two weeks so no changeover today. we went on a good walk to cover a BTO square. this is counting and recording the birds over a set area at a certain date and time. As we arrived at the top of the hill a white tailed eagle flew over us, and a cuckoo. not a bad start. The view was lovely, looking over to Colonsey and Iona. Luckily the mist came down when we had finished as it restricted our view. As we walked down the hill the sun returned and the butterflies were out everywhere. The grasses and flowers are at their best just now lining the forestry tracks where the trees have been felled. We topped off our day with an ice cream at pennygheol stores. P1080366P1080395-001
