Our wee break

We have just returned from a really lovely few days in the outer hebrides. As usual we were looking for wildlife as soon as we set offand were treated to bottle nosed dolphins as we left Craignure. Porpoise, white tailed eagle and loads of seabirds as we headed to barra. Sadly Mull was shrouded in mist limiting our view. The sun came out as we entered the shelter of the islands and docked in Castle bay. The beaches were stunning, stormy waves and white beaches especially the airfield. Used only at low tide we watched the plane come in. Two nights of B & B then moving North, Red throated divers, bonxy, distant golden eagle and porpoise fro the ferry. Topped off with camping out in the minibus. Soooo cosy. our first night we sat on the shore glass in hand and watched porpoise and gannets feeding in front of us. Next morning as we had our first cup of tea an otter ran across in front of us. Bit showery as we headed to Skye, well torrential rain for short spells. we still had a great time exploring. As we headed for home we realised how great it is to be coming back to Mull.
