North tour today

A change to our usual route as we took guests out from Dervaig area. Showery weather but great wildlife. Often good as the birds fly to dry wings after a shower. Highlights have to be our first stop. Two otters, hen harrier, greenshank, little grebe, snipe. a good start to the day. Moving on and red deer in the hills, another hen harrier and a juvenile white tailed eagle. Coffee and a white tailed eagle in a tree. followed later by another white tailed eagle flying close by. A brief golden eagle over a hill while we had lunch, Ravens and seals on the islands. Heading off with rainbows and showers. Two golden eagles, red deer and buzzards. A short detour and a surprise of 7 red deer stags crossing the road in front of us. they were young stags and cleared the fence with ease. Grey seals, gannets diving and stunning scenery ended our day. Jacqui p1100404p1100416
