Due to planning a trip to Mull in the off-season, my boyfriend and I had a tour with Jacqui to ourselves - and it was fantastic. Jacqui was an incredible host, wonderful to chat to, excellent at spotting wildlife from the van and with just the right level of anecdotes and stories about Mull. We saw four out of the big five (white-tailed eagles, golden eagles, red deer and otters) as well as numerous stonechats, curlews and herons. Scopes and bins were provided, which Jacqui made sure to point at distant eagles on hilltops to ensure excellent views. Jacqui's baking was excellent, even catering for the fact that one of us was vegan!

We had a great day out with Mike during our trip to Mull. We saw Otters (mother and cub), white-tailed eagle, Red Deer and a Golden Eagle. It was a really enjoyable day out - we had a great host/guide who made sure that we got the most out of our trip. Would thoroughly recommend it!!

Mike was the perfect guide for a wonderful half day private tour. Incredibly knowledgeable both about the wildlife and Mull itself. Seeing otters was top of our wish list and we were lucky enough to see a mother otter with 2 young. Another highlight was a brilliant view of a golden eagle - perfectly framed through Mike's telescope. Delicious cakes (thanks Jacqui!) tea made up for the slightly damp weather. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Mike.

A stunning wildlife tour with Jacqui - a warm and knowledgeable host. Our day featured flybys of White tailed eagles & Hen Harriers; Golden Eagles perched in crags and an extended viewing of an otter playing with her cubs. I've been on a few similar tours and this was easily the best, with the scopes and binoculars provided ensuring memorable close ups. On top of an expertise and passion for wildlife, Jacqui also shared intriguing anecdotes of Mull's history (ask her about the boulder which fell on a lovers' cottage and ensured the earth moved on their wedding night...) Jacqui's home baking was the literal cherry on the cake, with biscuits, hot drinks and a hearty homemade lunch keeping us fuelled throughout the day. If you're looking for a wildlife tour of Mull, this is impossible to top. Tom & Natalie.

Fantastic tour and guiding

Travelled over on the Ferry from Oban for the full day tour and was met by Jacqui at the terminal. She informed us that the return ferry at 5pm had been cancelled. This caused a problem as the only ferry we could catch to return after the tour was at 9.30pm. Not wanting to hang around that late Jacqui came up with a solution. She got her husband Mike to go out of his way and meet us part way round the tour in order to get us back for the 4pm ferry. This worked perfectly as due to Jacqui’s knowledge she managed to get the main 5 species seen before three o’clock. Good views of sea eagles within 10 minutes of the ferry landing.

We had two fantastic day tours with Jacqui and Mike, they both have a great sense of humour, know the island inside out and their wildlife knowledge and passion is obvious. We saw so much with them: otters, great northern divers, white tailed eagles (and two of their white bobble headed chicks peering over the nest!), hen harriers, golden eagles, gannets fishing, I could go on and on. Not only that, Jacqui home bakes delicious cakes and biscuits for breaks and provide lunch and drinks. We also stayed in their self catering accommodation, which is centrally based in Mull and is just perfect. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you want to see the stunning island of Mull and see amazing wildlife, book with them!

We had the most fantastic day with Jacqui. I had been desperate to see otters in the wild for years and Jacqui made that dream come true. We got to see a mum and her baby playing! We also saw white tailed eagles, golden eagles, hen harriers, seals and deer. Her knowledge of the wildlife on Mull was exceptional and we learned so much. We also learned lots about the geology of Mull as well as some local interesting stories. Jacqui provided a gorgeous lunch of soup and sandwiches and the best lemon drizzle cake we've had! Jacqui was a fabulous tour guide and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mull.

An unforgettable introduction to Mull

We had a joyous tour with Mike around the beautiful Isle of Mull and the various species hot spots. We benefitted from real squally weather and dogged the hail, sleet and rain to be greeted by glorious sunshine and blue sky; we had it all and for this, saw Mull at it's best. Mike was very knowledgeable about the island, it's wildlife both flora and fauna, was very patient and great company too. We were lucky enough to see our 'Big Five' as we named them; sea eagle, golden eagle, hen harrier, otter and red deer. All of this and a fabulous home made lunch of, soup, sandwiches, cake and a hot drink. It was a fantastic introduction to the breathtaking Isle of Mull. We would highly recommend Enjoy Mull and it's wildlife tours and lunch without hesitation.

Jacqui was a fabulous tour guide and very knowledgeable, we learned a lot about the animals on Mull and some of the history. The homemade lunch was delicious and catered to our needs. Jaqui is a superb and knowledgeable guide with the instinct and detailed local knowledge necessary to maximise the chances of seeing the species of most interest to you. We saw 4 Golden Eagles, 4 White Tailed Eagles, two occupied eagle nests, a male hen harrier, otter family with young otters playing in water and on rocks, curlew, ringed plover, greenshank, redshank, oystercatcher, wigeon, buzzard, kestrel, common, herring and greater black backed gulls and much more. Brilliant tour, with excellent home made food. Highly recommended.

The perfect host

Fabulous day despite the weather being far from ideal. Collected by Jakki from our caravan site which was a big help to us as meant we didn't have to pack up the motorhome to travel out.
The weather was due to close in later. so chuffed we managed to spot our first ever golden eagle in the morning + a male hen harrier.
It soon became clear Jakki knows the island like the back of her hand - a massive help to first time visitors. Homemade cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, crisps and soup kept us very well fed - sorry there weren't any leftovers after our angelic teenagers demolished the lot !!
After lunch we saw otters, seals and a white tailed sea eagle to round off an amazing day out and a fantastic insight into the history and nature on Mull. We lost count of the different birds and all manner of wildlife Jakki was able to show us.
I hope this review gives a flavour of what you can expect, even on a wet Halloween.

We had the best time,Reviewed 5 November 2018

My friend and I from Toronto spent a wonderful day with Jacqui on safari on Mull. She picked us up at our hotel in Tobermory and gave us a day of touring the island from 9 am to 6 pm when her husband dropped us off back at our hotel.

Jacqui's knowledge of the wildlife, the vegetation and the history of the island was in depth and her love of the Isle of Mull was infectious. She provided us with our own binoculars, as well as 2 telescopes on tripods to help us to spot and focus on the hawks, falcons, eagles, swans, otters, deer, local songbirds etc.

The home baked cakes, cookies, carrot lentil soup which accompanied 4 different types of sandwiches, all washed down by and assortment of coffees and teas were a welcome treat.

Thanks to Jacqui and the folks at McKinley Kidd for arranging such a glorious day!!

Perfect start to the year, James R

What a day! After the torrential rain of the 31st of December, New Years Day dawned cool, dry and clear with lots of blue sky. Getting into the spacious mini-bus was fine despite me being not too nimble as registered disabled.   Binoculars are supplied in front of each seat as well as a bird identification guide. The spotting scopes were securely affixed in the rear of the vehicle with the wonderful food; more of that later.
A lone dolphin breaching and feeding within good viewing distance. This caused a little group to form along the beach as these wonderful mammals always draw an appreciative crowd.
After a busy and packed day that never felt rushed we were back at our start point. All excited yet sated. Filled with knowledge and sites all thanks to our great guides. Can't recommend them enough. Very friendly and knowledgeable with a well run and inclusive tour that kept all levels of prior knowledge entertained and informed. Comfortable clean vehicle and a great packed lunch.
The rest of the year may not live up to today but the memory of it will certainly keep me going. Brilliant time.

We were staying in Jacqui's lovely accommodation and arranged a tour during our week's stay. This was our second tour with Jacqui, having also been out with her last year. Last year we had glorious sunshine but this time around it was a fairly grey and drizzly day- however this did not detract from the experience at all! Jacqui's local knowledge is fantastic and we saw plenty of wildlife in between hot drinks and a lovely lunch in spectacular scenery. If you like wildlife and beautiful scenery then it's a must do trip, rain or shine!

Booked on Jacqui's tour of northern Mull only three days before whilst staying at Tobermory. As we were without a car, these tours enable us to get to parts of the island not covered by buses, ie much more of it. Jacqui's tour far exceeded these basic requirements. She is extremely knowledgeable about Mull, including where its wildlife can best be seen, and helped us to see a variety of birds, including Hen harrier, White-tailed eagle, Slavonian grebe, and many waders, as well as a number of Otters. An excellent way to get a better understanding of Mull.
