Monday 5th September
A showery day with rainbows, While we waited for the rain to move off we watched the common seals showing us how to relax, There were a good number of greater black backed gulls and common gulls. We waited and waited. the rainbow didnt move and we were on the rainy side so we decided to move off. A female hen harrier on a post and a lot of Canada geese. As the day was fairly wet we did a short detour. Curlew, oyster catcher and lapwing and a cheeky red deer stag. Lots of cloud in the hills and the view was hidden. Then the day brightened and everything started to appear. hen harrier , kestrels, buzzards, white tailed eagles all flying and enjoying a much better day. Heading home and an otter appeared swimming and getting out onto the rocks, lovely.
