Monday 27th May

Today has to be a Hen harrier day,

The first was a brief glimpse, while we waited to see if it would come back a lovely white throat song from the top of a bush. Red deer on the hillside

Next one was another male displaying from high then flew across the hillside and sat on a mound.

The next was a female hen harrier, hunting then dropped to the ground. we think it got food then went back to the nest area.

Not long after that another two male hen harrier mobbing a buzzard

Another Male later in the day, quartering the fields.

We had a great day, so much to see with great views of white tailed eagles, reed bunting, Great Northern diver, wheatear and skylark.

The scenery was gorgeous with moody skies, bluebells still across the fields, Lots of wild flowers out now and the waterfalls are back after the recent rain.
