Fast and Furious

15th May. Nature has woken up this week with high temperatures sparking a surge of activity across the island. Bluebells showing in the woods sunbathing slow worms, one of which lived up to its name as I passed a buzzard sat on a wall with a slow worm hanging like a Mexicans moustache from its beak. A white tailed eagle being harassed by a raven passed me at great speed while I was enjoying an early morning cuppa, the photo was taken through the open window of the van so far from perfect ( as are most of my efforts) Drumming snipe, short eared , tawny and barn owl made for a lovely evening tour for our friends last night with the setting sun a real treat. Cuckoo still busy making sure their children get a good upbringing and the blackbird that wakes me early every morning with its beautiful but LOUD!! song  make this a very interesting place to be356A7137 mike.    356A7161
