A very good day today with highlights of an otter in Craignure bay while I waited for my guests coming of the ferry, A good start to our day. White tailed eagle on the nest and common seals lolling around on the rocks. Great northern diver and eider drakes. Short eared owls flying and sitting for us. lovely. Chaffinch calling in the tree. Female Hen harrier flying close., A close encounter of a white tailed eagle flying overhead. and a short eared owl over the hill coming up to make sure the eagle moved away. A lovely view of an otter, distant at first then it came across the bay close enough to see clearly. As we turned for home another brief view of an otter fishing close in shore. A whinchat up on a bracken strand in the showers. Our last stop and a highlight for the day was the common sandpiper on top of a dead tree and otter number three. Jacqui
