Yet another hot day. We had a good start this morning so we put in an extra stop to look at the white tailed eagle nest. There was one in the tree looking very majestic.
A request for otters which have been more elusive of late. hot weather and more people around will move them off to cooler and quieter feeding grounds. However patience paid off and we did see one on the islands.
Lunch at the white tailed eagle nest and another otter soon after as we moved further on. very close in. fantastic.
Time was running away with us so we did a steady run into the hills. golden eagles and red deer.
Our day was now getting very hot and all was quiet. Lots of little birds around with stone chat, meadow and rock pipit. Skylarks singing and the burst of wren song.
Brilliant day, Jacqui
