Sunday 16th February

A very wet start to our day with the promise of sun in the afternoon.

The White tailed eagles were no where to be seen. Hiding from the wind and rain I guess. lots of other wildlife out there. Our guests were keen to see birds today so we headed for good wader areas. Bar tailed godwit, curlew, widgeon, goldeneye, teal, turnstone, common gulls, greater blackback gave us a good start.

Red breasted merganser and gooseander also very good to see. lots of Great Northern divers today.

We watched the weather front go past and the sun came out. Stunning scenery with shafts of light coming through the clouds.

View over the Wilderness.

A Kestrel enjoyed the fine weather, buzzards got up to hunt and eventually Golden eagles over the hills. Lovely colour in the sun. A white tailed Eagle flew high over the hills.

Almost back and two ringtail Hen Harrier hunting amongst the Red deer. a White a tailed eagle flew across the hillside.

Heading back and another white tailed eagle flew past us as we were driving along.

Last stop and a distant otter, Common seals and more widgeon, real and Gulls.
