Monday 29th April

The fine weather continues, gorgeous day and lots to see,

The spring flowers are looking gorgeous with the primroses all over the place, gorse in full flower with its coconut scent. Violets out and some milkwort and louse wort showing.

We started our day with Eider duck, red breasted merganser and common gull. Common seals and a lovely buzzard on a post.

A white tailed eagle in the tree top near the nest and a distant otter spotted. More seals lounging about on the rocks.

Next stop and two white tailed eagle chicks were popping up and down behind the fresh leaves on the tree.

Hen harrier next two female and a male, golden eagles over the hill and a white tailed eagle overhead.

More eagles in the hills but distant and another female hen harrier.

Our pull in for lunch was perfectly times as the Golden eagle did an exchange on the nest, great to see it across the front of the hill. Red deer stags on the hill.

Otter at our next stop and curlew. So much to see today with Great Northern divers, slavonian grebe, more eagles, peregrine, widgeon, house martin, swallows and lots of sand martin.
